As part of our commitment to building diversity in the tech industry, Magdalena Panońko, COO of GS Services, joined as a mentor in the Jump into IT program, run by the IT Girls Foundation. This is a nationwide initiative that supports women at the start of their IT careers, helping them gain practical skills, get a real sense of what working in the tech industry looks like, and build the confidence needed to enter the job market.

Taking part in this project is, for us, a natural extension of our ESG strategy in the social area – we believe that diversity within teams, including greater representation of women in the IT sector, translates into better, more innovative business solutions. Over the course of six months, our COO shared her professional experience, supported her mentee in setting development goals, and helped her find her footing in the first steps of a tech career.
The involvement of GS Services’ women leaders in initiatives like this is part of our long-term response to the challenge of women’s underrepresentation in IT – and a step we intend to repeat in future editions of the program.
